To support young entrepreneurs in Assam, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa
Sarma and the Government of Assam introduced a new initiative called
Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbhar Axom Abhijan during a cabinet meeting on September
12, 2023.
The goal of this scheme, also known as Atmanirbhar Axom, is to help and
encourage the youth in starting their own businesses by providing financial
assistance and policy support. The Chief Minister's Atmanirbhar Axom Abhijan

- Age Limit: The applicant's age should be between 28 to 40 years as of April 1, 2023.
- Age Relaxation: OBC, SC, and ST category candidates get a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit.
- Educational Qualification: For the General Category, the applicant should have at least passed Class 10. For OBC, SC, and ST categories, completion of Class 10 is required.
- Professional Skills: The applicant needs to have the skills, experience, or knowledge necessary for income-generating activities.
- Bank Account: Applicants must have a bank account opened before December 31, 2023.
- Loan History: The applicant should not have defaulted on any loans from Co-operative and Nationalized Banks previously.
- Government Service: The applicant should not come from a family of government service holders or pensioners.
- Family: Only one member from a family is eligible for benefits under this scheme.
- Employment Exchange Registration: The applicant must be registered in the Employment Exchange of Assam before April 1, 2023.

- Registration and Application: Scroll down and visit the Important Web-Links section. Click on the "Online Application Form," opening a new web page. Register using basic information.
- Fill in Details: In the next stage, click on the "Online Registration Form" link and log in. Enter personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.
- Submission: After completing all the steps, submit the form.
- Acknowledgment: An acknowledgement receipt will be generated at the end, confirming the submission of the registration form.
Note: The online registration process has already concluded, and as of
December 8, 2023, the online application submission process has
commenced.
